Mike Moustakas denied the qualifying offer of 17.5 mil contract to stay with the Royals and him and his agent Scott Boras have to regret it.
Scott Boras after getting Eric Hosmer paid failed with Moustakas and that has to hurt with a contract of one year 6.5 mil base salary with potential to gain bonuses from good performance.
For the Royals this is a low risk contract. One it can make them more competitive and in a one year contract Moose can be trade bait if the team is not in contention.
I love that Moose is back, I am sad that he did not get the contract he deserve, but he broke the club home run record on a contract year so we will see what happens.
